Words From The Attic... Dreams

What???

Seems I was a complicated pacifist
nutjob for a quick moment back then LoL
A Woodstock hippie for sure!
My fuckin' head was spinning
after reading that first verse.
Well, with the second one as well!

Have no idea if this was pre-navy,
during or after??

But I promise you...
I had way better "dreams"... than this!!

Dreams

Wheels that sometimes turn against us
Are often thought as unreasonable punishment
For which we will realize the truth hidden
Deep inside each movement,
Was voluntarily performed

The profound language of life
Is simply thrown at us by these brilliant
Pigheaded sorcerer's and then we're expected
To obey each and every commandment
As to purify the reason for living

I sit here and I wonder how it is so peaceful
Listening to the soft perpetual
Movement of the water
While just minutes away you fall into
Mass confusion and disorder

Let us unite as one and share the fun
You would be foolish to resist

Now join together and witness the miracle
Consolidate your minds and compare your thoughts
For on the horizon there are safer forts

Where once inside you are off the slide
No need to fight nor carry a gun
No need to cry at foolish pun

Where the mighty conquer no more
As it did in every war

There will never be bad weather
Not as long as we stick together
Not for a while but forever

Words From The Attic... Stud For A Day

LoLoLoL
Oh the horror!

Very funny!
I must have witnessed an asshole
while on vacation down in Florida
when I was at a club or something.

Stud For A Day

Welcome back my friends
To the show that will never end
As he stands tall and ready to defend

Defend the insecure mass of muscle
Surrounding his shallow means of talk & hustle

He approaches his prey with an unscrupulous array
Of heartless remarks in every way

His couth is as smooth as a sharks tooth
And his wit won't fool you a bit

Here there's only one set of rules
That is my dear, to please the family jewels

If you's are both willing
It could be most fulfilling

You will find he will be extremely kind
Until the doc says you're in a bind

He stalks the beach with the cunning of a snake
Looking for someone on the make

It's been a losing day for the champ
So he picks up and moves camp

The days' over and the wars were tough
Not a one fell for his bluff

So now he heads for home all alone
Me, myself and a big huge bone

"I wanted all of you, as you can see,
But you sent me home blue as could be"

He wants to die as he starts to fly
This must be the worst of times
All alone with no dates
His friends are out and his parents are gone
As he warms the bowl and masturbates

He thinks to himself, tomorrow will be better
The girls will be wetter and ready to go
As he pumps his iron and smokes his blow

"I'll keep tryin' and I will succeed
I'll get my baby yes indeed"

"The real world is wrong
I knew it all along"

"They should all come forth and let it be
So I'll keep pumping 'til they come to me"

"They don't know what their missin'
It's me they should be kissin'"

"I don't understand their way
I work on my body everyday"

Words From The Attic... Second To None

Boy... a lot goin' on here!

It has the 80's all over it
with Ronald Reagan, who was our
president from 1981 thru 1989.
Refers to all the troubles we had
with Iran over the years, and of course
was also alluded to!!
It even has a hint of Pink Floyd
with the "bricks in the wall" reference
from the amazing 1979 album

It's also another attempt at lyrics.
The red indicates where the words
are spoken according to both the
penciled and penned pieces.

And remember that Ronald Reagan
was an actor before he became president,
and starred in a movie called

I was on vacation for a few weeks down in
Florida when I wrote this as you can
see by the hotel stationary LoL
Who the fuck thinks about shit like this
while on vacation in sunny Florida
LoLoL Too funny!

I also left out that last crossed out verse...
it's pretty stupid and if I'm reading it correctly,
it's a play on words dealing with cocaine.
Glad I crossed it out, it just doesn't work here.

Second To None

Come on people... get together now!

Now I've been hearin' these stories
And I sure hope that they ain't true
Ya see I've been talkin' to some people
And they say you're feeling blue

Well you see the water is low
But the pressure's still high
The oil is scarce
And we just wanna know why
You see the wheels are still turning
But they're going the wrong way
So if we don't get it together
They all say we'll pay

Well everyone knows that we got a new boss
And Reagan is his name
But we're still at a loss with our new boss
'Cause Bonzo just ain't the same
So call out your kin if you wanna win
And toss all those students on out
And take back their passes
and all their ports
'Cause they just can't handle the clout

Well you see the water is low
But the pressure's still high
The oil is scarce
And we just wanna know why
You see the wheels are still turning
But they're going the wrong way
So if we don't get it together
They all say we'll pay

Ya see people
What I'm trying to get across
Is simply up to you of course
And if hurting and killing are what you adore
Then go try the army and fight in the war

But I know there's people out amongst you all
Who are brighter and tighter bricks in the wall
So give us some shelter and prevent us a fall
And in the end you've got a free ball

Well you see the water is low
But the pressure's still high
The oil is scarce
And we just wanna know why
You see the wheels are still turning
But they're going the wrong way
So if we don't get it together
They all say we'll pay

Well I see that you all have gotten the point
So huddle together and light up a joint

Well I've got a hunch, that this is the bunch
Who's gonna stick together
Throughout this here crunch

Ya know we've been in battles
And we've been in wars
But we never had this many troubles before

So take out a record of Jim Morrison's
And listen to him and drop all your guns

Then go tell the Russian's they'd better be cool
'Cause we're sick and tired of playin' the fool

Well you see the water is low
But the pressure's still high
The oil is scarce
And we just wanna know why
You see the wheels are still turning
But they're going the wrong way
So if we don't get it together
They all say we'll pay

Words From The Attic... Just Some Strange Shit Floating Around In My Head

It has some really nice moments,
and then not so nice, moments LoL

But just like the title says...
just some shit floating around
in my head. And what have we said
over and over now about getting
that strange shit outta that mind of yours??
Go ahead, you know the answer!

Of course...
you fuckin' SPEW!!!

Let that shit in your head flow right
outta that pen or lead onto to that piece of paper...
until the strange, is out... for now, at least!! LoL

I also see the iconic lyric by none other than
Out here in the fields!!
Which of course is as we all know...
the opening line to

Just Some Strange Shit
Floating Around In My Head

With Summer time bee's humming
And the softness of Spring coming
The creatures of the forest await the rain
The new rain

The god sent gift of purity
When times of peace and happy being
Are well worth the things that we are seeing

When people play together at work and play
Unite as one throughout the day

Could it be that maybe one day
Twelve months can continue as one
It's up to us, the people of the living
We can keep the softness of Spring
Or let the hardness
Of the Winter times overcome

I choose the soft, I choose the clean
I choose the women that I have seen

The children of the streets
the water they spray, anoint themselves
The cop on the corner, a Prince of being
Tip your hat the lady wishes

Women of the evening
Hot, sweat and brown skin
The rich little bitch nods her head and thinks...
What a sin

Long black chariots of wealthy paupers
While a fire blazes in the junky's brain
By far the best is long since gone
But the cat he plays still
With the spool of yarn

Just Some Strange Shit Floating Around In My Head

Words From The Attic... Live Your Own Life

I think I like this...
but it's definitely not me...
it's Jim Morrison once again LoL

This looks like a paper placemat from a
Chinese restaurant, most likely on
Staten Island judging by the date that is
written in pen on the opposite side...
1981 Fe . 5th
I didn't ship out for the navy until Nov 1981.

Jim was so huge in my life during
the early 80's especially when
the doors long time manager,
published the book
in April of 1981. It created such a huge
resurgence of everything "doors!"
Including some of my writing!

A bit of a "woe is me" effort here,
but it flows pretty well.

And I also see a line from a Richard Prior
comedy sketch there at the top right!
So fuckin' good!!

Also along the way I see I changed to word
"prison" to "prism"
I changed it back to prison.

But like with so many facets of life...
somehow it almost always comes down to music,
and how the creativity of others'...
helps soothe "our own" turbulent moments in life!
Now how fuckin' cool is that!!

Live Your Own Life

Running roaming rapid foaming
The voice of one approaches us
It's deep it's strong and sometimes a hex
Why boys get crazy and girls they vex

Hot sweat and dead prison
The eyes of youth
Look upon it's distorted colors
And indecision

The ideas of wealth and power
Why yes even I have fallen to my knees
Before it's tremendous tower

Luck... skill and the will to win
The pride they must hide and discipline

You must shatter the border
And obliterate the chaos and disorder

Start your ascent to get to the summit
You mustn't stop until you've done it

They pound that thought into your brain
And expect your thoughts to remain half sane

The American way he screams and shouts
Well I'm sorry folks I have my doubts

My hands are full with the troubles I've got
I don't need no smart ass college boy
Puttin' me on the spot

I get by the best I can
You don't like it, that's too bad
I try to stay happy and keep a stiff upper lip
But I'm sorry there boy
I just don't have enough for a tip

But when I'm down with a heavy frown
And my spirits need a lift
I turn on my radio and play my records
And share their precious gift

Words From The Attic... The Untitled / Unfinished Poems... Stories & Thoughts... 31

From that date at the top of the page,
I was only about two months
away from shipping out for navy bootcamp.
Life from a psychological point of view
at that point was beginning to build up
like a pot of water getting ready to boil over.

Had many many thoughts running
around my head then. Most were positive
but some were pure chaos!
I was beating myself up here a bit for
never really putting my ALL... into anything.
Mostly just skating through life.
Truth be told... the navy years were the same.
Had a blast most of the time, but really
didn't apply myself much. Always scamming,
trying to find ways to get around
the status quo.

Seems on this day, I picked up a pen,
not a pencil... and spewed those chaotic thoughts
down on paper. It must of really eased
that boiling over mode back then,
because just reading this now today
April 7, 2026...
is having a calming affect on me LoL

Spewing is simply the best!
And should be mandatory...
for any chaotic moment in your life!!!!

And oh... Bryan and Cary were neighborhood
friends who were already in the military.
Bryan was a marine. And Cary was in the navy.
In fact Cary and I ended up on the same
ship together... the USS Nimitz.
Unbelievable right!

Aug 30 "81"

Seeking my deliverance
from this misbegotten place!
You like that?

How often have you used your brain?
I mean really used it?
Don't you huh
Most likely not enough

I should know...
I skipped through school and shit like that
without really trying.
You know, cheating on tests and stuff.
Well I made it through school,
But I could have done a lot better!

So now when I get in the navy,
I'm gonna kick ass.
I have to show someone that I can really do it.
That when there's a problem in front of me
that I can solve it.

Do you know who that someone is I have to show?
Give up?

Laugh if you want,
but that someone is me!

I've been faced with all kinds of shit,
family and otherwise. I'm still here.
But I never really gave anything my
total attention. As you can see from my spelling.

I can't wait. I know it's gonna be hard,
but I'm gonna do it.

I'm counting on the people I know to keep
in touch with me while I'm away. Now I will
be in the position that Bryan, Cary and
other people I know who are in.
I'm gonna write more often.

But the only worry I've got is my parents.
I know they can get along without me,
but it's just the thing of being so far away
from them. If they're not happy, I'm not happy.

I think the thing that I'm doing will
bring us closer together.
I don't like the space that is between us at times.

Just a thought... tommy

Words From The Attic... The Untitled / Unfinished Poems... Stories & Thoughts... 30

LoL
This was a follow-up song I wrote
called the Bak-A-Lum Blues that I can't locate.
That was the home improvement company
I worked for when I was 18/19 and living
in my first apartment on Staten Island.

This company was located in Linden NJ.
The worker rep Joe Merch was being a dick,
and we were going to have a meeting at
the local Holiday Inn to try and get rid of him.

And the radio thing LoL
My buddy Dale... (we drove in from S.I. together each
morning doing about 90mph over the Goethals Bridge
blasting the J. Geils Band LoLoL So awesome!)... and me would always play my
boombox loud in the warehouse, and
constantly being told by the boss to
shut the fucking thing off! We never did.

Then, one day, as we all lined up
at the end of the week, and the office chick
walked down the line and handed out
our paychecks just like she always did,
Dale and I actually pulled out pink pieces of paper that said we were fired LoLoL
Fuckin' pink slips, just like in the movies!
They have had enough of the two loud-mouthed
a-holes from Staten Island... bye bye boys LoL
So funny!

Untitled / Unfinished... 30

Well I told you the story 'bout the Bak-A-Lum Blues
You see the gang is back
And they got some more news

Merch's behind the desk,
he's playin' head games again
But not to fear it's gonna come to an end

We got a meeting coming up
Down at the Holiday Inn
We're gonna stuff our face and then drink some gin

We're gonna tell "the man" that we want him out
It's top on the list without a doubt
We gotta stick together, gotta talk some sense
Things must change 'cause we're all too tense

They say strength's in a number
And the number is one
It's the strongest number under the sun

We got black we got white it doesn't matter to me
We gotta stick to our guns 'cause that's the key

Now join together and tell me it's so
Tell me Joe Merch, he must go
We don't need a guy that's on the slide
All we need is one that's on our side

Everyone's the same so they tell you in school
But the boss he plays by a different rule

I know I pushed too far with the radio
This ain't no disco or rock 'n roll show

The boss should be wise and versatile
He shouldn't have gripes that are personal

We like to do our work and like it some
Including me and everyone

But don't let them see that smile on your face
'Cause you're one hundred percent wrong
And they got a case

Now join together and tell me it's so
Tell me Joe Merch, he must go
We don't need a guy that's on the slide
All we need is one that's on our side
