THE WHO... Is It In My Head... A Perfect Lyric

Once again...
we find ourselves completely immersed
within the greatness of THE WHO's

This creative masterpiece is STILL...
my "go to" album...
for SO MANY emotional moments!
From the positively over-the-top highs...
to the down right disgusted lows...
the music AND words
within this double album
from WAY back in 1973
continue to kick my
muthafucking ass!!

And even though the album tells a story
in it's entirety... you can still remove any song
out of context and still...
every single fucking note AND word...
are perfect!
But there are certain lines
that for one reason or another
just stand out for me!
And even though "Cut My Hair"
is my favorite song...
this was the verse that caught me on this day
thus making it one of those stands outs.

Sometimes...
the confusion of life gets to us all
at some point... and this lyric just makes me
laugh and smile with glee whenever I hear it...
because I remember times when I was
in that very grip of confusion LoL
When the simple things in life
just turn you fucking inside out!!
And then pulling out this verbal elixir in some form
be it vinyl album... cassette tape or cd...
and feel ALL of the negative emotion
begin to run the fuck away because it knew that...
Pete... Roger... John... Keith
were coming to kick it's muthafucking ass!!! LoL
So Awesome.

Can't you just feel the distress
within these words......

"I feel I'm being followed
My head is empty
Yet every word I say turns out a sentence
Statements to a stranger
Just asking for directions
Turn from being help to being questions"

I was 12 years old and in the sixth grade
when this was released in 1973 and
Joey Marsh played "Bell Boy" for me
on his cassette player that he borrowed
from his big brother Jimmy
while we were in the lunch room
of I.S.51 on Staten Island.
He said "Tom, ya gotta listen to this!"

Think about that...
as of right now... on this very day...
April 26, 2026...
I've been listening to...
and being protected by...
this monster of energy
for 53 muthafucking years!!!
And counting......
So so cool!!

The Who... Quadrophenia... 1973
The Who... Quadrophenia... 1973
The Who... Quadrophenia... 1973. Not sure why the poster says January 1997... as the movie was released in 1979. Maybe it was re-released at this time and given new life as THE WHO had begun a brand new tour during 1996 where they played the entire Quadrophenia album start to finish. And yes... that is Sting... from the Police!
That's my ticket stub from when they toured back in 1996/97 and played the entire album start to finish! Such an amazing night!

Lyrics

I see a man without a problem
I see a country always starved
I hear the music of a heartbeat
I walk and the people turn and laugh

Is it in my head
Is it in my head
Is it in my head here at the start
Is it in my head
Is it in my head
Is it in my head or in my heart

I pick up phones and hear my history
I dream of all the calls I miss
I try to number those who love me
And find exactly what the trouble is

Is it in my head
Is it in my head
Is it in my head here at the start
Is it in my head
Is it in my head
Is it in my head or in my heart

I feel I'm being followed
My head is empty
Yet every word I say turns out a sentence
Statements to a stranger
Just asking for directions
Turn from being help to being questions

I see a man without a problem

Al Stewart... Year Of The Cat... A Perfect Lyric

A Perfect Lyric

I heard this song just the other day
and for some reason followed along
with the lyrics and was absolutely
blown away when I got to this one
incredible line!
It creates such a beautiful vision
right there before your eyes!!
You wanna reach out and hug
this chick for eternity LoLoL
Wow!!

I've listened to this song a thousand times
over the years but never really sang along
or paid any attention to the lyrics.
I was just happy when it came on
because it has such a soothing,
and calming affect LoL

But this time I read the lyrics
as the song progressed!

So just read this and try...
not to fall in love with this chick!!

She comes out of the sun in a silk dress running
Like a watercolour in the rain

Holy mutha of all colorful creative lyrics...
I love it!
Also love the entire song by the way!!

Al Stewart... Year Of The Cat

Lyrics

On a morning from a Bogart movie
In a country where they turn back time
You go strolling through the crowd like Peter Lorre
Contemplating a crime
She comes out of the sun in a silk dress running
Like a watercolour in the rain
Don't bother asking for explanations
She'll just tell you that she came
In the year of the cat
She doesn't give you time for questions
As she locks up your arm in hers
And you follow 'til your sense of which direction
Completely disappears
By the blue tiled walls near the market stalls
There's a hidden door she leads you to
"These days, " she says, "I feel my life
Just like a river running through
The year of the cat"
While she looks at you so coolly
And her eyes shine like the moon in the sea
She comes in incense and patchouli
So you take her to find what's waiting inside
The year of the cat
Well morning comes and you're still with her
And the bus and the tourists are gone
And you've thrown away your choice and lost your ticket
So you have to stay on
But the drumbeat strains of the night remain
In the rhythm of the newborn day
You know sometime you're bound to leave her
But for now, you're gonna stay
In the year of the cat
Mm, year of the cat

Spotify... Did You Know???

Did you know that...

... it takes at least... 30 seconds...
for a song to stream, uninterrupted...
for it to count towards your personal count list,
but even more importantly...
for it to count towards the royalty
for the artist!
How Spotify determines the stream count for the artist
How Spotify determines the stream count for the artist
How Spotify determines the stream count for the listener
How Spotify determines the stream count for the listener

And even thought the royalty for each
streamed song is very very tiny,
it really does make a difference for
the more popular bands and artists!
Just look at how fast a popular song
or album can generate income for the artist!
Fuck... I gotta learn how to write a damn song!!
LoLoL
How Spotify calculates royalties

Money talks...
BULLSHIT walks!!!

Cash... is STILL... king!

Joe Walsh... A Life Of Illusion... Song of the moment

Song of the Moment

Wow...
I played this album to death!
But this song was the real stand out for me!
I was 19, living in my first apartment,
and I really had a solid handful of albums
that I completely leaned on...
and this was one of them!!

So awesome!
I hear this song and it brings me right
back to 1981, and that apartment
on Staten Island LoL

Song of the Moment

Absolutely love this song!
But I never ever hear it anymore.

Until today...
when it came up on my Spotify earlier in the day,
and ya know what??
It still, kicks my fucking ass!

And I hate that I no longer use my cd's
anymore... such a bummer for an old-school
muthafucka like myself LoLoL
I both hate... and... love... technology!

That's my cd below.
It actually had dust on it : (

So... let's get to it!
Here it is... Feel Like A Number... enjoy!!

Words From The Attic... Dreams

What???

Seems I was a complicated pacifist
nutjob for a quick moment back then LoL
A Woodstock hippie for sure!
My fuckin' head was spinning
after reading that first verse.
Well, with the second one as well!

Have no idea if this was pre-navy,
during or after??

But I promise you...
I had way better "dreams"... than this!!

Dreams

Wheels that sometimes turn against us
Are often thought as unreasonable punishment
For which we will realize the truth hidden
Deep inside each movement,
Was voluntarily performed

The profound language of life
Is simply thrown at us by these brilliant
Pigheaded sorcerer's and then we're expected
To obey each and every commandment
As to purify the reason for living

I sit here and I wonder how it is so peaceful
Listening to the soft perpetual
Movement of the water
While just minutes away you fall into
Mass confusion and disorder

Let us unite as one and share the fun
You would be foolish to resist

Now join together and witness the miracle
Consolidate your minds and compare your thoughts
For on the horizon there are safer forts

Where once inside you are off the slide
No need to fight nor carry a gun
No need to cry at foolish pun

Where the mighty conquer no more
As it did in every war

There will never be bad weather
Not as long as we stick together
Not for a while but forever

Words From The Attic... Stud For A Day

LoLoLoL
Oh the horror!

Very funny!
I must have witnessed an asshole
while on vacation down in Florida
when I was at a club or something.

Stud For A Day

Welcome back my friends
To the show that will never end
As he stands tall and ready to defend

Defend the insecure mass of muscle
Surrounding his shallow means of talk & hustle

He approaches his prey with an unscrupulous array
Of heartless remarks in every way

His couth is as smooth as a sharks tooth
And his wit won't fool you a bit

Here there's only one set of rules
That is my dear, to please the family jewels

If you's are both willing
It could be most fulfilling

You will find he will be extremely kind
Until the doc says you're in a bind

He stalks the beach with the cunning of a snake
Looking for someone on the make

It's been a losing day for the champ
So he picks up and moves camp

The days' over and the wars were tough
Not a one fell for his bluff

So now he heads for home all alone
Me, myself and a big huge bone

"I wanted all of you, as you can see,
But you sent me home blue as could be"

He wants to die as he starts to fly
This must be the worst of times
All alone with no dates
His friends are out and his parents are gone
As he warms the bowl and masturbates

He thinks to himself, tomorrow will be better
The girls will be wetter and ready to go
As he pumps his iron and smokes his blow

"I'll keep tryin' and I will succeed
I'll get my baby yes indeed"

"The real world is wrong
I knew it all along"

"They should all come forth and let it be
So I'll keep pumping 'til they come to me"

"They don't know what their missin'
It's me they should be kissin'"

"I don't understand their way
I work on my body everyday"
