Favorite Quotes... Mike Tyson said this...

I had to think about this one for a second...
just... a second!

It's fuckin' awesome!
just... awesome!

Iron Mike said this...

" Everyone has a plan...
'till they get punched
in the face "

Then... it hit ME!!
((( yes you knuckleheads... pun intended! )))

Mike Tyson... "Everyone has a plan... 'till they get punched in the face". Fuckin' awesome isn't it!!

LoLoLoL
This quote is just SO ridiculously true...
isn't it!?!?

Everyone... is a tough guy...
or rather THINKS...
they're a tough guy
until...
shit happens!

I've seen the quote written
in slightly different ways.
Using "everybody"
and being
"punched in the mouth"
or just "gets hit".

Mike Tyson... "Everyone has a plan... 'till they get punched in the mouth" Fuckin' awesome!
Mike Tyson... "Everybody's got plans... until they get hit". Fuckin' awesome!!

But in this case...
it's a punch in the face.
This image works best with me
because it sounds the most brutal.

What an amazing analogy this is!
I mean... it could be used
for every single aspect of life really.

I wonder if Mike knew just
how profound this statement was??

You see...
it doesn't matter what the situation is...
that punch to the face could represent
... getting fired from your job
... failing an important test at school
... losing everything you own
to Mother Nature
... a death of a loved one
... divorce
... whatever!

That punch to the face
could really mean ANY
hurdle or devastation
that is now there before you...
starring you down...
provoking you...
kicking your muthafucking ass!!!

How do you handle it??

Well let's get this straight.
Right off the bat...
if big Iron Mike Tyson was the one
to produce that punch to your face...
well...
there's not much you can do about it!
You're pretty much just gonna
lie on the canvas for a spell
until your eyeballs stop rolling around
in your fuckin' head!!
And then be carried back
to the dressing room.

But...
with all the other shit...
even though we had NO WAY
of preventing it from happening...
for the most part...

we ALL have a chance to respond!!

A chance to get our shit back in order...
and once again begin to kick ass... in life... that is!

So get the fuck
off of that mat you muthafucka...
and start swinging away... again!

Fuckin' Mike...
he's STILL a badass.
Albeit a lovable one!
But a badass nonetheless!

Where's Buster Douglas
when you need'em... lololol

Mike Tyson... "Everyone has a plan... until they get punched in the face". Fuckin' awesome!!

Chicago 25 or 6 to 4... Did You Know???

Did you know...

... that Chicago's amazing song...
25 or 6 to 4
was about time...
and not about some sort of drug reference
or some other crazy meaning
like I thought... when I was a kid???

It simply means 25 minutes
or 26 minutes
to 4:00am.
Just too awesome isn't it!!

Too fucking funny.
I only learned this a couple months ago
and it just blew me away!

The lyrics of the song that
Robert Lamm
wrote were simply describing
what was going on while he
was trying to write and create a song!

Below is a link that gives Robert's quick
remembrance of that night
he was creating this masterpiece.

Songfacts... 25 or 6 to 4

Robert Lamm explains

25 or 6 to 4  w/lyrics

25 or 6 to 4  Live 1970

The fucking power & energy
of these guys is unbeatable!!
Reminds me of THE WHO'S
"A Quick One"
performance at The Rolling Stone's
Rock 'n Roll Circus...
they were raw... and young...
just pure fucking energy!!

U2 at Live Aid London 1985... Did You Know???

Did you know...

... that the 3 other members of U2...
The Edge... Adam Clayton & Larry Mullen
wanted to kick Bono... their lead singer...
out of the band, to fire him...
right after they left the stage in London
at the Live Aid concert in 1985??

Crazy right!?

But true!

They were mad at Bono for extending their second song of the set which was "Bad",
thus leaving the band no time to play their
current single that was playing on the
radio at the time "Pride".

At the time...
none of them... nor us...
realized that this performance
would become one of Rock 'n Roll's
most memorable moments of all time!

How cool is that!!

Check this link out.
It's from Rolling Stone magazine
and it gives a minute by minute account
of the U2 set at Live Aid... July 13, 1985.
It's pretty neat.

I was lucky enough to be at the
Philadelphia show that day.
Tommy Mondello and friends at Live Aid July 13, 1985 RFK Stadium Philadelphia. We sat around the smiley face for most of the show.

It was SO hot... and crazy!
I remember broken water pipes in the guys bathroom. Standing in a foot of water at the urinal... peeing... while girls were squatting in the urinals next to me... LoL
And why bother peeing in the urinal anyways...
So fuckin awesome!!!
