It sounds like I'm talking about
life lesson's here.
A warning if you will
about living that
crazy overindulgent lifestyle.
Can't really remember when this
thought left my head or if there was
a particular situation that I went
through that caused the verse
to be born.
No matter though...
I still like it!
Especially love the
"turn to trash" line!
Seems the title came at a later date.
Not really sure what the fuck
it means though.
Perhaps at the time I was thinking
that this was the average lifespan of life.
And to get your shit together before
your time here runs out???
72 Years Long
Wondrous storybook tales
Telling us of freedom and glory
Of how our fathers' set their sails
And oh so many a funny story
But now our story and stories are real
Completing little trips
Sometimes true... mostly false tips
Capturing people in a lie
But never asking why
Seeing someone smile at death
A lonely sod on christmas eve
Wondrous stories turn to trash
It's really hard to believe
Listen to the sound
Listen to the sound racing all around
Fever stricken lifestyle
Better straighten out
Before the sound you hear
Has to show it's clout
The sound is life
