This... is how it all began!
On June 26, 1999 a surprise 40th birthday party
was thrown for Jeff Skonieczny.
It was such a beautiful afternoon
that day that I decided it was the perfect time
to air out the Orchard Inn sign.
So Gregg Ponciano and myself
strapped it onto the roof of my car
and headed 30 miles south
down the Garden State Parkway to the party.
I even called the New Jersey State Police
to make sure we wouldn't get pulled over
for hauling such a beast.
It was at this party that Carmen Marsh
first hatched the idea of having a
neighborhood reunion.
I remember it like it was yesterday!

Hey guys... just an update!
Gregg Ponciano got a handful of us together
that used to hangout on Van Name Ave
back in the day...
just to hang and catch up.
As teenagers...
the nights usually began after dinner.
When one by one... we were all drawn
to the starting point of the night... which was
the Van Name brook.
And because of him...
we've now begun to hangout every so often
when we can finally come up with a date
where everyone can make it.
Hopefully they keep happening!!
And maybe the gatherings grow!
